Micron hand held sprayers for weed control are the most efficient and easy way to irradicate weed control problems from a variety of situations. Every sprayer in the micron hand held range operates using Controlled Droplet Application (CDA) technology. CDA works with the use of a small motor to rotate a spinning disk. Chemical mixture is directed into the disk which distributes evenly sized droplets using the centrifugal forces associated with the spinning disk. Each disk has a serrated edge which ensures that the droplets leaving the disk are of a consistent size.

With droplets being used efficiently low volumes can be used to allow for maximum efficiency of the chemical being used. The Micron hand held sprayers can use traditional water-based products at total spray volumes of only 10-30 litres/hectare. The consistently large spray droplets of around 250 micron minimise any risk of spray drift. Uses includes general clean up, border, pathway, or strip spraying (eg in vineyards, orchards and other plantations) and spraying of larger areas by making consecutive spray passes.

Micron hand held CDA sprayers are used world wide for band and narrow strip spraying. Generally each unit is able to treat up to 3 kilometres (about 0.4 hectares) in one hour. The reduction in mixing and filling operations offers operator safety advantages with less chance of contact with the operator.
